JOB ADVERTISEMENT – CLERK TO THE COUNCIL/RFO
SHAVINGTON-CUM-GRESTY PARISH COUNCIL
CLERK TO THE COUNCIL/RFO
Applications are invited for the position of Clerk to the Council/RFO. This is a part-time position of 20 hours per week, working largely from home, although there are a minimum of 12 Council meetings per year, plus at least the same number of Committee meetings, all of which the Clerk is required to attend, and all are held at the Village Hall in the evenings. Duties will include the preparation of agenda papers, minutes, dealing with correspondence, liaising with contractors and preparing accurate financial accounts. The Council owns and operates the Village Hall; and has a grounds maintenance contractor, two PCSO’s and an allotment site. Over recent years it has been heavily involved in the consideration of many large scale housing development applications and the preparation of detailed objections.

The closing date for receipt of applications is 31st July 2015. Interviews are expected to be held in mid-August with an anticipated start date during September.
Completed application forms (CV’s will not be considered) should be returned in hard copy to:
